Minnie's Dried Fruits and Vegetables works to:

• produce high quality dried fruits and vegetables;
• empower underprivileged women in rural areas;
• teach women skills that improve their standard of living and increase self-autonomy

Minnie's Dried Fruits and Vegetables was founded in 2010 in Egypt to produce high quality dried foods and to provide training and employment opportunities for underprivileged women in rural areas.

Minnie's first solar dehydration project was launched in Dahshour, Giza in March 2011 and relies entirely on solar energy and local products and labor. The packaging of the product is recyclable and the carbon footprint of the project is minimal. The women on the farm work in a safe and hygienic environment and carry out strict sanitary practices, handling our foods with tremendous loving care.

Minnie's products are seasonal, based on what's available locally. We select fruits and vegetables of the highest quality that meet safe agriculture standards. Our dried products are 100% natural, without any added sugar, chemicals, preservatives, or flavor enhancers of any kind. Because of our particular drying technique, the product's nutritional value remains very high. No nutrients are lost or compromised.
